Autumn has arrived in the Vail Valley; warm, sunny days give way to chilly evenings, and the turning leaves carpet the surrounding slopes in the rich gold, yellow and orange hues of the season.
Those glorious colors can only mean one thing – the snow isn’t far behind. Vail receives an average annual snowfall of 189 inches (usclimatedata.com) which is happy news for those who love skiing. This winter promises much the same, with the 2018/2019 Vail snow forecast calling for nearly 16 feet of the good stuff.
With the change of weather, anticipation is building all over town for the coming ski and snowboard season, and Bridge Street Ski Haus is no exception. The friendly, knowledgeable staff at our one-stop Vail ski shop is busy gearing up to provide a world-class selection of skis, snowboards, boots, clothing, and other winter accessories. Need rental gear? We’ve got it. Want to try out brand-name demos? Check. Looking for a place to store your stuff for the day? Bridge Street Ski Haus’s lockers are the closest you will find to the base of Gondola One.
Simply stated, Vail offers the best mix of skiing, lodging, and dining in Colorado, and Bridge Street Ski Haus offers the best ski rental, shopping, and storage experience in town.

We’re open for business! Our doors were closed during the off-season, but behind the scenes, it was a busy summer at the Ski Haus. The store underwent extensive renovations, all designed to enhance the rental and shopping experience for customers. It now offers a fresh look and feel, as the two-story green tarp that has draped the building during construction is pulled back a little more each day to reveal the finishes, fixtures, and inventory that make Bridge Street Ski Haus standalone among Vail ski rental shops.
The finishing touches are coming together on the interior as ski season approaches. Displays of comfortable, stylish shirts, pants and sweaters for men and women, along with outerwear including colorful, warm coats, vests, and pants, stand ready for the coming cold weather.
The store’s clean lines and Colorado designer elements add a sense of place and elevate the shopping experience, making a trip to the store much more than just a trip to the store. Racks of boots and skis line the walls, ready for action.
The finishing touches are coming together on the interior at Bridge Street Ski Haus as ski season approaches, with street-level construction on target to be completed by winter. Stay tuned for updates on the renovation.
Along with remodeling, we’re bringing in winter gear, in our ongoing effort to provide the best snow sports options in the Vail Valley. Skis, boards, boots, winter clothing and more are arriving daily from top-of-the-line manufacturers, including Stio, North Face, Spyder, Kavu and more. These brands offer stylish, functional outdoor clothing and gear, equipping you to not only face the Colorado elements but to look good while you do it.
Now is also the time to take advantage of deep discounts on last season’s winter inventory, as we make room for new equipment. We’ve got great deals on demo skis, with up to 70 percent off retail prices. Our demo inventory includes high-performance brands such as K2, Blizzard, Kastle, Volkl, Head, Rossignol, and Salomon.
As the store was closed for summer, we still have a plentiful selection of premium sizes and models. This lets you come to the shop and take advantage of a spring-season selection at closeout prices.
Ready for a true adventure? Bridge Street Ski Haus has partnered with British Columbia’s CMH Heli-Skiing to offer an unparalleled snow experience.
The CMH experience begins at one of the company’s base lodges in Canada’s Columbia mountain range, where guests are lifted by helicopter to experience arguably some of the finest backcountry powder on the planet. Whether your taste runs to rolling glaciers, steeps, couloirs, or tree-filled glades, CMH can take you there.
On select days during the season, join Bridge Street Ski Haus and CMH Heli-Skiing for a catered après-ski party, where a CMH rep will answer questions about heli-skiing and the unique CMH experience.
Momentum is building as ski season approaches in Vail, and at Bridge Street Ski Haus it’s all hands on deck as the staff works to create a high-quality experience for our fellow skiers and snowboarders.
